What is Basil Essential Oil?

Basil, or Ocimum Basilicum, is a herb plant with bright green leaves and white flowers. The name seems to come from the Greek word ‘Basileum’, which means king. That is why it is often called King’s Herb. Basillicum Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation of the entire plant.

Where is it from?

Nowadays, basil is best known as a seasoning in Italian cuisine, but in India it has been used as a medicine for centuries and the country is still one of the largest producers.

Fragrance description
