What is Lemon Essential Oil?
Lemon Essential Oil is extracted from the peels of the fresh fruits of the lemon tree through steam distillation or cold pressing.
Lemon oil is said to have a disinfectant and refreshing effect and therefore also has a healing effect on flu and colds.
Where is it from?
The lemon tree, or Citrus Limonum, originates from Asia but is now also widely grown around the Mediterranean and America.

How do you use Lemon Essential Oil?
Aromatherapy
Add 6 drops of Lemon Essential Oil and 4 drops of Litsea Cubeba Essential Oil to the water reservoir of a diffuser for a fresh start to the day.
In Bath
Mix 10 drops of Lemon Essential Oil and 5 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil with a base oil (e.g. Argan Oil) and add this mixture to a heated bath.
For the skin
Add 10 to 15 drops of Lemon Essential Oil to 50 ml of base oil such as argan oil or Jojoba Oil and massage into the skin.
Steam bath for colds
Fill a basin with hot water and add 8 drops of Lemon Essential Oil and 4 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil. Inhale the vapor by holding your face above the steam with a towel over your head.
NB! Lemon Essential Oil can cause phototoxicity in high concentrations. Use a maximum of 2% Essential Oil on 100 ml of carrier oil.
