It has bright green, heart-shaped, serrated leaves and lilac-colored flowers.It is a very versatile herb that is used in mint tea, peppermint candies and chewing gum.Peppermint Essential Oil is extracted through steam distillation of (dried) peppermint leaves.
Where is it from?
The Peppermint plant mainly grows in Central and Southern Europe, but is now also grown in Dutch greenhouses and also does well on your balcony or in your garden.

How do you use Peppermint Essential Oil?
As aromatherapy
Add 2 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil and 4 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to the water reservoir of a diffuser and turn it on for a fresh, relaxing atmosphere before bed.
For tension headaches
Massage 1 to 2 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil on your temples and forehead for headache complaints.
As a skin oil
Mix 10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil and 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil with 50 ml of carrier oil (e.g. Argan oil) and apply to the skin after exercise.
In a steam bath
Fill a basin with 2 liters of hot water and add 3 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil and 2 drops of Chamomile Essential Oil. Hold your face over the tub with a towel over your head to trap the vapor and inhale deeply.
As a mouthwash
Add 2 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil to a glass of water and rinse your mouth for 20 seconds.
